March 14-18, 2011

This will be an unusual week for me with other obligations causing me to miss three days. Here's a look at what's ahead:

Spanish I: Monday we'll review chapter 6 lesson 15 for a test on Tuesday. This concludes chapter 6, and we will spend the rest of the week reviewing for a very important chapter test.

Spanish II: Monday we will review chapter 4 lesson 3 and test on Tuesday. This concludes chapter 4, and we will spend the rest of the week reviewing for the chapter 4 test.

Economics: We will finish chapter 10 this week and prepare for a test by week's end.

Arts and Humanities: On the days that I am in class we will continue to lecture and discuss the greatest playwrites of the western world. On the other days you will be watching a video of a play by one of the playwrites we've been discussing.

Western Civilizations: On the days that I am in class we will continue to lecture for the next test. On Tuesday and Wednesday you will watch a documentary and on Friday you will have an in-class assignment.

Have a good week!

March 7-11, 2011

Missions Week! Each class will be challenged to raise sponsors for missions this week as we sponsor two Christian schools in Latin America. Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: Vocab quizzes Monday-Thursday as we study chapter 6 lesson 15. The grammar is very important - we complete regular present-tense verbs by learning the IR conjugation, learn some irregular IR verbs, and introduce the very important direct object pronouns. Please try not to miss class!

Spanish II: Vocab quizzes! They will have a big influence on your grade this quarter! We will complete chapter 4 lesson 3 and test by the week's end. Take special note of the "verb + preposition + infinitive" lists on pages 126-127.

Economics: We continue our Chapter 9 discussion of money and its measures. Look for an opportunity to take our first "global view" of the financial system.

Western Civilization: Test on Monday. Tuesday and potentially Wednesday we will watch a video about the Industrial and Agricultural revolutions. Your notebooks will be graded at that time. Lecture continues.

Arts and Humanities: We begin our study of the great playwrites of the Western World. Along with the power point presentation we will be reading selections of each of the plays.
