February 28-March 4, 2011

As we near the end of the quarter, please be mindful of the need to finish strongly so your grades are where they should be! Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: We will complete Chapter 6 lesson 14 on Tuesday and test on Friday. Please be prepared for your daily quizzes!

Spanish II: We will complete Chapter 4 lesson 2 on Tuesday and test on Wednesday. Please be prepared for your daily quizzes!

Arts and Humanities: We will begin our study of the great playwrights of the western world. You will enjoy examples of their work and have a chance to do some acting of your own!

Economics: Test over chapter 8 is on Monday, and we will move on to chapter . Please remember that your project is due on Wednesday, March 9.

Western Civ: We will end lecture on Tuesday and have test 9 on Friday. Please keep up with your homework assignments!

February 21-25, 2011

Don’t you just love three day weekends? Monday is Presidents Day, and I hope you enjoy your day off. Here’s a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: There will be vocabulary quizzes on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The test over chapter 6 lesson 13 will be on Wednesday.

Spanish II: There will be vocabulary quizzes on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The test over chapter 4 lesson 1 will be on Wednesday.

Western Civilization: It will take the remainder of this week to complete our lecture over test 9. Expect a test early next week.

Economics: We will finish chapter 8 lecture by Wednesday and test on Friday. Please keep up with your chapter worksheets.

Arts and Humanities: I do not anticipate having class this week; my understanding is that you will be researching at the library most, if not all, of this week.

February 14-18, 2011

This week, like so many others, will include its share of distractions that we must deal with. Monday the junior class will be much involved with the creation and distribution of candy grams. On Wednesday morning most of my students will be takingthe ASVAB. Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I - Test over chapter 5 tomorrow. We will begin vocab quizzes over chapter 6 lesson 13 on Tuesday.

Spanish II - Chapter test on Tuesday; vocab quizzes begin on Thursday.

Economics - Test Monday; we will cover chapter 8 fairly quickly, ending early next week.

Western Civ - We continue our Test 9 lecture on exploration and discovery. The lecture is rather long and will take the entire week. Look for a test by the middle of next week.

Arts and Humanities - We begin our study of the stage. I think you'll enjoy getting to perform and explore your theatrical abilities!

Drama - It's time for Kiss Me Kate to take center stage!

February 7-11, 2011

Here's hoping for another complete week of school! Remember to purchase Candy Grams in honor of St. Valentine's Day and our performance of Pride and Prejudice on Thursday evening. Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: After Monday's test over lesson 12 we will begin reviewing for the chapter 5 test which should take place on Friday.

Spanish II: We have finished chapter 3 and will review on Monday, Tuesday, test on Wednesday. Please be studying your grammar and vocabulary!

Economics: We will finish chapter 7 this week - forms of business ownership. We have covered sole proprietorships and partnerships and will move on to corporations.

Arts and Humanities: We will be painting backdrops for Pride and Prejudice and watching the movie "Road to Singapore". I hope you enjoy this Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour hit!

Western Civilization: Test 8 is scheduled for Tuesday. Please remember to do your homework online!

AP World History: We have chapter quizzes scheduled for Tuesday and Friday over chapters 26 and 27. We have a unit test scheduled for February 18.
