October 25-29, 2010

Hey folks, sorry to post this late! I was out on Friday and, knowing that there were some potential interruptions to the class schedule, needed to see what had been accomplished in class. Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: I delayed the scheduled test over Lesson 5 until today (Tuesday). We'll begin lesson 6 as soon as the test is completed and should be ready to test the material by the middle of next week.

Spanish II: We are working on Chapter 3 Lesson 3 and should test on Friday. This is the last lesson in the chapter so we will have a chapter test soon.

Economics: We test today over chapter 4 and will begin lecture tomorrow over chapter 5.

Western Civ: Test Wednesday coving the Roman Empire. Lecture for the next 4-5 school days on the developments within the Christian church during the Middle Ages.

Arts and Humanities: We've launched our classic film lesson. We are watching "You Can't Take it With You" starring a couple of my favorites - Jimmy Stewart and Jean Arthur. Each movie will be followed by a quiz and the students have their quarter long project expectations.

Thanks and have a great week!

October 11-15, 2010

Welcome back from Fall Break! I hope your time has been relaxing and refreshing. Here's a look at the week ahead:

Spanish I: We'll finish Lesson 4 and test by Wednesday. Then on to our new verb "ser"! Vocabulary quizzes will resume on Thursday.

Spanish II: This week's focus will be using the command form of verbs. Test Wednesday.

Western Civ: We begin our study of the Roman Empire. Your notes (from the beginning of the year) will be collected for the quiz portion of your grade on Friday. Remember to do your homework!

Arts and Humanities: This is our last week of poetry before beginning our study of classic films. I hope that no one will fail this quarter because of missing poetry recitals!

Economics: We will finish Chapter 3 and be ready for a test by midweek.
