April 26 - 30, 2010
The focus of this week will be our annual testing. As such, class time that is available will be used to review and to prepare for the spring musical. Thursday and Friday will be normal days and we will pick up with a healthy review of the Spanish and history that we've been working on. Get plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast this week. You may bring snacks to school to eat between tests in the classroom. God bless!

April 19-23, 2010
What an exciting week we've had at SCS! Thank God for Mrs. Bush's visit and all the things that were accomplished. Now back to some degree of normalcy, but, I suspect, the week of Jr/Sr Banquet will have its obstacles to overcome as well. Here's a look at what's ahead:
Bible: We will do Lesson 29 from the text and then have the unit test.
US History: We will complete our notes for Test 17 by the end of the week. With testing coming up, we will be hard-pressed to get the test in, so plan to be flexible!
Spanish I: Review chapter 7, Lesson 17 on Monday and Tuesday and then test on Wednesday.
Spanish II: We will begin 6-1 on Monday and test on Friday.

April 12-16, 2010
Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope your time has been well-spent, and that you all will return well-rested not overly-tanned. Here's a look at what's ahead:
Bible: We have a great deal to discuss this week. We will probably only get to one new lesson from the text.
Spanish I: We have worksheets to review, and we're off to the land of direct object pronouns! They were introduced in the last chapter but will be covered more completely in this lesson (Ch 7, lesson 17).
Spanish II: Due to the scheduling problems we ran into last week, we still need to take the test over chapter 5. We will do this on Wednesday, using Monday and Tuesday to review and preview chapter 6.
US History: We have finished test 16, covering President Kennedy through the first Nixon administration. We will begin chapter 17 lecture immediately, covering Watergate through President Carter. Good stuff, guys, I'm looking forward to it. Don't forget to do your homework for the week!
Thanks and God bless!
